Introduction

Welcome to AniWatch - AI Chat Anime Plus (“AniWatch”, “we”, “our”, or “the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application, including anime discovery, trailers, AI chat, watchlists, and related features.

By using AniWatch, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

Information We Collect

AniWatch is designed to keep data collection to a minimum.

• Data stored on your device — Your watchlist, language preference, and similar app settings are saved locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.
• AI chat messages — When you use AniWatch AI, your messages are sent to our AI service provider to generate anime-related responses. We do not use chat content to build advertising profiles.
• Advertising data — Google AdMob may collect device and usage information to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s policies.
• Privacy choices — On iOS, you may be asked about App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and ad consent (Google UMP). Your choices affect whether personalized ads may be shown.

We do not require you to create an account to use AniWatch.

How We Use Information

• Provide anime and movie metadata, posters, trailers, and search results
• Power the AI chat assistant with anime-focused suggestions and answers
• Save your watchlist and app preferences on your device
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob
• Improve stability, performance, and user experience

Third-Party Services

AniWatch relies on trusted third parties to deliver core features:

• Google AdMob — We use Google AdMob as our only advertising partner. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads. Learn more at Google Privacy Policy and How AdMob uses data.
• The Movie Database (TMDB) — Anime and movie information, images, and trailers are sourced from TMDB. AniWatch is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. See TMDB Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — AI chat requests are processed by OpenAI’s API. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• YouTube — Trailers may be played via embedded YouTube players or opened in the YouTube app. See Google Privacy Policy.

Advertising & Tracking

AniWatch displays banner, interstitial, and app-open ads exclusively through Google AdMob.

• On first launch, you may see Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form where required by law.
• If you deny tracking on iOS where a consent form is available, personalized ads may be limited or not shown.
• You can reset ad identifiers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and manage ad personalization in your Google account settings.

Data Sharing & Sales

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the App. AdMob may process data according to its own privacy practices as an independent controller.

Children’s Privacy

AniWatch is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Data Retention & Security

Watchlist and preferences remain on your device until you delete the App or clear app data. Chat messages are processed by third-party APIs and are not stored by us on our own servers. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to opt out of certain processing. Because most data stays on your device or is handled by third parties, you may also exercise choices through iOS settings and the privacy controls offered by Google and other providers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of AniWatch after updates means you accept the revised policy.
